The annual British Fashion Awards took place last night at the London Coliseum. Huge congratulations go to one of my fave designers, Christopher Kane, who scooped the Womenswear Designer of the Year award. I love his innovation and the fact that his designs are so wearable! Have to mention Burberry who won two awards; one for Designer Brand of the Year and the second for Menswear Designer of the Year award which was awarded to Christopher Bailey.
Christopher Kane and Donatella Versace (not the most flattering pic of Dona, I know)
A surprising winner for me was Harry Styles. He won the British Style Award which is said to recognise, “an individual who most embodies the spirit of London and is an international ambassador for London as a leading creative fashion capital.” This award was voted for by the public but I’m assuming when they mean ‘the public’ they mean teenage girls ’cause I don’t remember seeing a poll for this. Gripes aside he looked great – not a fan of the hair though – looked a bit Wolverine-esque…

Unfortunately there were no fashion disasters on the night (makes it more interesting when there are one or two) – would have been too ironic right? Check out highlights from the red carpet below:
