Get The Look Beauty: Bella Hadid

The Ultimate Femme Fatale Bella Hadid channelled her inner Jessica Rabbit at the launch of the new flagship store of Tag Heur, in London, back in December ’17. Hadid dressed in a floor length sequin gown in a sultry red and teamed that with a bold lip to match. Her make-up was utterly flawless, and her hair was styled straight to frame her face. Hadid gives us every reason to try and recreate this look – Ladies, get your red lipsticks out that you’ve banished back to the Christmas make-up drawers and work it like a Hadid, FOR LESS!

Step 1: Straight to the point.

Bella’s hair is razor sharp in the front fringe and her hair has been straightened inwards to really hug her face. We’d definitely recommend a good solid hair straightener but with a curled edge to ensure that the fringe is sharp but so you’re able to flick the hair in to mirror Hadid’s hairstyle. A little spritz of some good sleek spray or hair oil will make it shine like Bella’s.

Step 2: Face it, we nailed the base.

Bella’s look is fairly light on the base as her natural skintone shines through. For the base, we’d opt for a sheer foundation; something light but buildable so you have the option. Rather than a concealer for under the eyes, we’d go for white mixing drops to just brighten the foundation you already have under the eyes. Apply some liquid highlight to the inner parts of the under eye and inner corner to add more light to these parts also. Hadid’s cheeks are a little rosy in some of the shoots so a cream blush would work well and to chizzle out the lines, go for a cream contour product to keep everything the same consistency.

Step 3: Ha-did you see that liner?!

Bella’s eyes are very effortless but striking. She uses a light brown on the lid just to add some warmth to the eye and then goes to town on the liner. Practise makes perfect, ladies, so don’t be shy, get lining and flick it out ever so slightly to create the perfect cat-eye. Hadid’s lashes are thick and dark so we’d go for volume and colour as opposed to lengthening. The brows are barely visible so set them in place with a clear brow gel just incase the wind blows and that fringe goes up – if you haven’t got a fringe, apply a coloured brow gel!

Step 4: Bella’s not so (Victoria) Secret lips.

The lips. Oh, the lips! Those lips are beautifully pouty and the colour is to die for. From studying the shots of Bella – close up! – we can see that they’re not overly defined meaning there’s not really a liner being used. For anyone brave enough to go without a line, we’ve got some killer recommendations for a bold red lip. We’ve also thrown in an idea for a red liner to match for any of you girls who can not line. Trust us girls, we don’t judge!

Step 5: Dress of the Year.

The gown is sequin goals and we’ve hit up some of the online stores to find some dupes. Did someone say they were having a fancy-dress party? Dibs on the Model in red!
