REVIEW: Chloe Lewis Beauty – Liquid Illuminators

It’s no secret that many of our favourite reality stars are delving into the world of makeup creating their own ranges. Chloe Lewis graces our television screens with her always perfect makeup on The Only Way is Essex so it is no mystery as to why she would decide to release her own products. Chloe Lewis Beauty was released in 2017 and consists of liquid illuminators and a lipstick range.

Liquid Illuminators:

They say: A liquid highlighter designed to give your skin a glow that makes you stand out from the crowd.

We say: Liquid illuminators are a massive trend in the makeup world at the moment and almost every brand is creating their version of the product. Chloe Lewis beauty has a range of illuminators in different shades making them suitable for all skin tones. I have tried Moon Beach and Bronzed Beauty. Moon Beach is a more icy white shade with cool undertones and Bronzed beauty is a gorgeous shimmer bronze shade. For my skintone I can use Moon Beach as a face highlighter, I also like to mix it in with foundations and use it as an illuminating base. Bronzed Beauty is too dark of a shade to use as a highlighter however I love to mix it in with my foundation or facial moisturizer to give my face a bronzed glow. On my recent trip to Barcelona I loved to mix this shade in with my body moisturizer and use it on my legs arms and shoulders to give the illusion of supermodel legs and a darker tan. Basically making my own Fenty Beauty Body Lava. I did find that using the illuminators as a face highlighter can separate the foundation underneath so I would recommend using them underneath your foundation for a lit from within glow. The pigment isn’t blinding if you’re comparing them to something like the Iconic liquid illuminators however I do quite enjoy the more sheer pigmentation as I think they create a more natural highlight.

Packaging: The illuminators come in frosted glass bottles with a rose gold and black lid. They feel very expensive and would look lovely on your dressing table. The frosted glass is lovely as it allows you to see the colour of the product. The illuminators have a pipette style applicator making them extremely easy to apply directly to the face and to the back of the hand to mix with other products.

Effectiveness: 4 stars

Value for money: At £22.99 these illuminators lie at around middle of the range. A little product goes a long way due to the thin liquid formula so they will last you a long time.

Buy or Bye: Buy
