REVIEW: Chloe Lewis Beauty Lipsticks

Chloe Lewis graces our television screens with her always perfect makeup on The Only Way is Essex so it is no mystery as to why she would decide to release her own products. Chloe Lewis Beauty was released in 2017 and consists of liquid illuminators and a lipstick range.

Lipsticks:

Price: £12.99

Pros:

  • Lightweight feel
  • Shade range

Cons:

  • Sheer formula
  • Lack of longevity

They say: A luxurious lipstick that wraps lips with conditioning colour. Infused with vitamin e and protective sunscreen to soften the lips, smoothen lines and prevent chapping.

We say: I received two lipsticks in the shades, Lady Love and Berry Kiss. Lady Love is an orangey red shade and Berry Kiss is a more day to day mauve pink colour. Both lipsticks are a satin finish and lay very comfortably the lips. The formula is lightweight and although the pigment isn’t there instantly after a couple of layers you can achieve a very opaque colour. Due to the satin formula they do require a few touch ups throughout the day however if you wanted to create a more matte long lasting finish you can achieve this with layering some translucent powder on the top.

Packaging: The lipsticks come in a bang on trend white and rose gold packaging. They’re quite slim in shape therefore perfect for travelling or in your handbag. The lipsticks have a magnetic closure giving them a more luxury feel they also come in white and rose gold matching boxes which perfectly compliment the product.

Effectiveness: 3.5 stars

Value for money: At £12.99 a lipstick they are verging on MAC prices. I feel like the lipsticks are slightly overpriced as drugstore lipsticks from brands such as NYX deliver the same if not better quality for a fraction of the price.

Buy or Bye: Bye
