This summer, avoid scouring the internet for hours on end in search of vegan products. We’ve found the best ones, from yoghurt that can freeze to a lolly, to sunscreen that smells of tropical coconut. Here are the cruelty-free must-haves to own:
This weightless styling spray uses certified organic Shea Butter and coconut water with dragon fruit, lychee berry and green apple extracts, to nourish and energise lifeless hair. The vitamin-rich Imbe oil helps block humidity to control frizz, while Aloe adds shine.
The smell of this spray is intoxicating enough to buy. It contains no sulphates, parabens or mineral oil. I tested using my frizzy, flat hair, and needless to say, this SheaMoisture product has become an essential. My hair is left feeling soft and manageable in the heat.
Noughty To The Rescue Intense Moisture Hair Treatment
Your summer cruelty-free must-haves, cannot be complete without an intensive hair mask. The sun wreaks havoc on hair, reducing it often to a dry and lack-lustre state. This 97% natural mask is made especially for those with hair over-styled or over-treated. Containing black oat extract to improve the structure of the hair surface, and meadowfoam oil to trap moisture in the hair shaft.
The scent is Moroccan argan and almond. Again, divinely incredible, and with zero parabens, silicones and sulphates. A little goes a long way. For those hoping to camouflage split ends, we recommend this as your answer. You will be left with silky-smooth strands from top-to-toe.
Azara Beautique Arabic Coffee, Cardamom and Ginger Soap
Azara Beautique is a new, luxury soap brand which gathers inspiration from the Middle East. Founded by the first practising female homeopath in Saudi Arabia, the soaps only use organic, raw ingredients with proven benefits and free from harsh chemicals. Their Arabic Coffee, Cardamom and Ginger soap is perfect for summer, as it protects from UV and fights cellulite.
I cannot say enough about how soft this soap will make your body. There is nothing else like it! What’s fantastic is that it lathers as though it’s a shower gel. It is incomparable to regular soaps on the market which tend to run out quickly. If you are heading to a festival or planning a weekend away, Azara soaps even work as shampoo bars.
Our underarms are one of the most sensitive areas of our bodies, and after a long day in the sun, they are one area we do not want to worry about. Well, this non-irritating, gluten-free deodorant is tough on odour but gentle on sensitive skin. The pre-biotics support healthy bacteria, while the zinc ricinoleate absorbs odour molecules. As well being suitable for those prone to eczema or psoriasis, it’s 89% organic, non-pore blocking, and free from drying alcohol, harsh chemicals, synthetic fragrance and harsh foaming agents.
Usually, after a few hours, I feel the urge to want to apply more deodorant. With this however, I can easily walk my dog, commute to work and run around freely, without any fear of bad smell. The scent itself, is a refreshing citrus aroma.
Coola Eco-lux SPF 30 Tropical Coconut Sunscreen Spray

We love Coola’s tropical coconut sunscreen spray, and not just because of its holiday all-natural fragrance, which will have you dreaming of lying on a beach.
The 70% organic ingredients inside, include Aloe Vera and cucumber extract, as well as red raspberry seed oil, which is a powerful antioxidant and natural sunscreen booster rich in Omega 3 and 6. On the go
These yoghurts may target kids, but they are an appetising treat at any age. Made with almond milk and either strawberry or blueberry puree (depending on which flavour you prefer), they are packaged in convenient and easy to open tubes, making them a perfect post-gym snack. They contain no added sugar, gluten or soya.
Ask any vegan what the hardest produce is to substitute, they will most-likely reply dairy. Free-from yoghurts tend to contain strong coconut flavours. Nush Tubes on the other hand, taste absolutely how you would expect yoghurt to taste. If that’s not enough, you can pop the tubes in the freezer and enjoy as a lolly.

Green People Toning Hydrating Mist
Heading to a festival this season? This instant hydration booster and skin-toning spritz will keep you revitalised and feeling fresh. Made with damask rose, orange blossom floral water, marshmallow and Aloe Vera, this mist will help soothe, refresh, hydrate and balance your skin. It’s suitable for all skin types and for both face and body.
A perfect product to keep in your handbag. The environment and sun can quickly dehydrate skin, leaving it to feel dull and look potentially shiny. Green People’s alcohol-free mist feels pleasant on skin and can double up as a facial toner or be kept in the fridge and applied as a cooling remedy.
Exfoliating removes dead skin cells from your skin, which in turn produces a smoother, healthier-looking layer. Before going in the sun or applying self-tan, it’s advisable to use. This PraNaturals scrub is blended with mango and kiwi fruit oils, along with dead sea minerals, almond, wheat and sunflower oils.
Skin will look radiant and have a flawless glow. The scrub is gentle and worked with my sensitivity. It doesn’t turn red or sting after using.

Bali Body Pineapple Tanning Oil SPF6
Bali Body is one of Instagram’s favourite cruelty-free must-haves. They have built up a large following of support, and it’s not hard to see why. Their pineapple tanning oil hydrates and nourishes skin, all the while giving a deep tan. Enriched with pineapple fruit extract, sweet almond oil and coconut oil.
The pineapple extract itself is packed full of anti-ageing properties and prevents un-even skin toning. Patchy tan lines and bad smells are a thing of the past with this oil. If you’re like me and need extra guidance on how to apply, you can watch how to on the Bali Body website.
Lip glosses sometimes have a sticky texture that is not ideal when out in the heat. Not to mention that there’s nothing worse than pulling your hair away from your mouth. Neek’s ‘All the Lovers’ colour is a beautiful nude that moisturises your lips as though you are wearing a lip gloss or balm.
Containing jojoba oil and a shea butter base, the natural pigments and mica mineral inside create a creamy-matte texture. Wearing will give you kissable lips, minus a dry lip sensation.
Could cruelty-free summer must-haves be complete without something prosecco related? Britain is known for its love of the drink, and now vegans have an extra reason to adore. Popaball’s rose gold shimmer is wonderful to surprise guests with at a BBQ, wedding, or any special occasion. In addition to adding a tasty raspberry flavour to your glass, it will add a unicorn coloured sparkle. There’s only 3 calories per serving and around 21 servings per pack.
If you’re not the biggest fan of the taste of alcohol, we advise that this shimmer may highly change your mind. If Prosecco is not your fancy, you can also use gin, vodka, or anything else fizzy.
Popaball have also launched strawberry and peach bubbles. Put them in your drink and watch a burst of flavour pop round your glass. Each pack includes a chunky straw to help you reach all of delicious bubbles which are edible. £3.99, popaball.co.uk
