Woman Crush Wednesday: Emma Watson
She was introduced to us as Hermione Granger, yet Emma Watson has managed to remain a sensation after Harry Potter! Who can forget Emma Watson and her role model speech? With her inspirational speeches Emma has moved us all and empowered many women. So much so, that Emma Watson and feminism are often spoken in the same breathe.
How is Emma Watson a role model you ask? Well, how many young A-list actresses use their platform for change? We all know her now as Emma Watson the activist. We’ve seen her vocally fight for women’s rights and the environment. She is undoubtedly a positive role model and at the age of 27 this young woman has accomplished so much that we can’t keep track anymore. Her most recent major role was as Belle in the live action remake of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. And like us I’m sure your first question when this was announced was, ‘Can Emma Watson really sing?’ The answer is ‘yes’ adding to her already growing list of other talents. So, I’m sure it came as no surprise when she was named as one of the most influential people by Time magazine in 2015. Here’s why she’s our Woman Crush Wednesday…
Why we love her
Least likely to…be a passive member of society. As we have mentioned Emma Watson is a role model and has been working with UN since 2014. The actress is bound to make a change in the world as a UN Goodwill Ambassador.
Impress her with…an environmentally-friendly purchase. The environmental friendly actress wore a gown made from recycled metals by Calvin Klein and Eco-Age at the 2016 Met Gala.
Mention…feminism! We all remember Emma Watson’s He for She speech three years ago. She started the campaign to make the world understand what feminism truly means.
And another thing…Watson does not only love to practice yoga but she is also a certified yoga and meditation instructor!
