Matrix style sunglasses are back and ready to stay
A few weeks ago I saw an article in Vogue about Matrix sunglasses and my first reaction was what on earth are Matrix style sunglasses? For those of us too young to remember they are sunglasses worn by Keanu Reeves and crew in the cult film The Matrix. Fashion inspiration isn’t the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of this film, but you know fashion is a circle and things eventually come back in trend.
Often refereed to as micro sunglasses this eye-catching eyewear has been worn by several A-listers recently, such as Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Rihanna and Selena Gomez.
We can thank Demna Gvasalia and his fall show for Balenciaga for bringing these sunglasses back. When I was doing research for this article I even found a website dedicated to sunglasses from the film. However, if you want to be more fashionable and modern, I have gathered a selection of high-street and high-end sunglasses for you. And you can choose whether you want to be as cool as Keanu Reeves or Bella Hadid…
