  • Extremely strong ginger taste

Convenient, multi-functional, cost-effective sweets. The ginger contained inside has been claimed to include a number of health benefits. The 30% of ginger in each sweet means that there is an extremely strong ginger taste which can sometimes be difficult to take.

They say:

Gin Gins Caramel contain a massive 30% ginger per sweet. Many ginger fans enjoy a Gin Gins or two on their runs, or whilst working-out for that extra boost.

Ginger (Zingiber officinale) has a long history of medicinal use in traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine. Modern research confirms its effectiveness in relieving the symptoms of nausea, vomiting, indigestion, flatulence and dizziness. It works mainly in the digestive tract, ginger helps to boost digestive fluids and neutralise acids, making it an effective alternative to anti-nausea medication, without the possible unpleasant side effects.

As a dietary supplement: 1-2 sweets per day.

We say:

If you are a fan of the taste of ginger, then this will definitely be up your street. The hint of caramel inside adds a slightly sweeter taste. I would say however, that although the benefits of taking a sweet containing a large quantity of ginger go without saying – in terms of the ginger potentially helping your digestion, we are unsure how effective the sweets are themselves.

I didn’t notice a difference when taken for indigestion or nausea. However, one factor I really like about this product is that it can be put into hot water to make a tasty, warm drink. The ginger is definitely more subtle taken this way and can be a nice alternative to tea and coffee.

Not as effective as I was hoping, but makes a nice addition to the ‘medicine’ cabinet. 2 stars

The packaging works wonderfully. It comes in a handy travel-friendly box and each sweet is wrapped individually. Not only is that great for keeping the product fresh, but it also means that you can take them anywhere.

Value for Money:

Very reasonable priced.
