Enjoy this selection of delicious, healthy alternatives that will satisfy your cravings for any given moment, from watching a film to post workout.
In my house, if you have a movie night or head to the cinema, popcorn is a necessity. Unfortunately, 100gm of microwave or movie popcorn contains around (approximately) 450 calories. To put it in perspective 100mg is a little larger than the average small serving of popcorn at the cinema.
Luckily, there are some other options that are kinder to the body. Some Body Popcorn from Superdrug is dairy, vegan and gluten-free and is made with natural, wholegrain butterfly corn. It comes in two different flavours – Sea Salt and Sweet & Salty.
The popcorn is yummy, has a great texture and really does hit the spot. It comes in a decent-sized one person snack portion.

Shaken Udder milkshakes are made from British milk and are both low-fat and low-calorie. There are 5 different flavours: Chocolush, Vanillalicious, Top Banana, Strawberries & Clotted Cream and Salted Caramel.
They contain no artificial additives or preservatives. Drinking them post-workout can help aid muscle recovery and additionally help boost your immune system due to the vitamin B12.
I have never been a fan of milkshakes and only drink milk in my tea. This has now changed however. The Shaken Udder milkshakes are delicious and I am a fan of the bold flavour names.
Like milk they do need to be kept and stored in the fridge as soon as possible after purchase.

Sweet cravings on the go
Alongside trying their popcorn, I sampled Some Body Protein Bars in Cocoa & Orange and Cocoa & Salted Fudge. They are full of protein, low in calories and are handy to keep in your handbag. Both flavours are 100% natural and gluten and soya free.
Although both appetising, I prefered the Cocoa & Salted Fudge.
