Jean Paul Gaultier Fragrance Talk at the Barbican

Jean Paul Gaultier Fragrance Talk at the Barbican

Last week I was fortunate enough to attend a fragrance symposium at the Barbican organised by Jean Paul Gaultier Parfums.  The talk coincided with the launch of JPG’s major exhibition The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk which runs until the 25th August 2014. The talk featured JPG’s perfumer Francis Kurkdijan, exhibition curator Thierry Loriot and was chaired by Harper’s Bazaar’s Retail Director, Jo Glynn-Smith.  Who knew perfumery was so interesting?  Kurkdijan, had only graduated from perfumery school five years prior to creating JPG’s iconic Le Male fragrance at the age of 26!  Watch the video of the talk below with, of course, the highlight being the surprise visit of Jean Paul Gautier himself. I want to friend steal him – no joke – we’d make hilarious BFFs. Who wants to make that happen for me?

Enjoy!
