You wouldn’t expect the clientele at the revamped Lacoste concept store reopening party to be a dance floor crowd. Normally at these events, fashionistas and celebrities gather to admire each other whilst pretending to simultaneously admire the collections and sip champagne cocktails but, not tonight.
The melody of trained violinists and harpists warmly welcomed the crowd into the new Lacoste store on Regents Street, which was ever so lah-di-dah. However the party really kicked off when the crowd turned the shop floor into a dance floor when sibling duo Say Lou Lou hit the decks, all the while lit up by the subtle hues of the outre purple lighting scheme.
Say Lou Lou on the decks…
The store is the first to open with the brands’ new Devanlay concept and it presents itself as modern and innovative yet sensitive to the origins of the grade II listed building that houses the shops floors.
Several celebrities attended the event which included Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams, John Newman and Felicity Gilbert. Even Henry the Hoover made an appearance – only to clean up the dropped glass of somebody who was enjoying the jasmine infused gin and champagne cocktails a bit too much.
