This week’s Man Crush Monday is pop singer turned TV presenter/DJ, Marvin Humes. Humes became famous after appearing on the X-Factor in 2008 with his boyband JLS, alongside other members J.B. Gill, Oritsé Williams and Aston Merrygold. After a successful five years – selling more than 10 million records worldwide – the band split up in 2013 and Humes has gone on to enjoy the mot success. He married a fellow pop singer (Rochelle Humes from The Saturdays) and has carved out a career as a television presenter and radio DJ. Currently he co-hosts Surprise Surprise, The Voice and regualar fills in on This Morning alongside his wife Rochelle. As if that wasn’t enough Humes also hosts his own daily show on Capital FM.
Least likely to…give up on music. As well as working as a radio DJ, Humes is a member of the electronic dance group LuvBug.
Impress him with…cheesy 80s music. In past interviews Humes has claimed to owning a varied CD collection which includes tracks by ABBA and Wham!
Mention…glasses. Humes was apparently bullied during his school years for wearing them.
And another thing…prior to joining JLS, Humes was a member of another pop band called VS – unfortunately (or fortunately rather) the band only lasted for a year leaving him free to join JLS.
