REVIEW: Genessence Moringa & Guarana Supplement

 Genessence Moringa & Guarana Supplement

Genessence Moringa & Guarana Supplement

Price: £24.99 RRP

Stockists: Revital Pharmacies

Pros:

  • Doesn’t need to be taken on an empty stomach
  • Only taken once a day
  • Doesn’t have a strong taste
  • Vegan and natural

Cons:

  • The affects of the product took over two weeks to kick in

Overall:

A no-fuss, taste-free supplement that does have a slight affect on general mood and well-being. However, other products on the market offer the same results and for less money.

They say:

Natural science research and traditional healing practices have come together with the launch of Genessence Naturals; five healthcare supplements all carefully formulated with the healing ‘essence’ of high quality, sustainably sourced active botanical extracts at their heart.

Moringa & Guarana – formulation contains Moringa & Guarana. For extra natural energy, it is ideal for anyone who feels extremely tired and fatigued or needs to boost concentration. Moringa has been shown to reduce tiredness and fatigue, while Guarana has antioxidant properties and contains natural caffeine. Combined these two ingredients can help boost physical capacity, attention and memory.

Application:

If you are taking prescribed medication, have any medical condition, are pregnant or breast-feeding, please consult your healthcare practitioner before taking any food supplements. Do not exceed stated dose. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Food supplements are not to be used as a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.

Directions: Take one capsule twice daily with food, or as directed by a health practitioner.

We say:

If taste is a big factor and you don’t mind paying for a clean, vegan supplement, this product could be a good choice. It’s easy to take and because it doesn’t need to be taken on an empty stomach, there’s no awkward “is my stomach empty enough yet?”.

However, I found that it took a few weeks to notice any change in my mood/fatigue. Even then, it was very slight. On days where the normal 8 hours sleep couldn’t happen, the next day was more bearable and I could still function, but it was nothing dramatic.

I didn’t notice a difference in terms of concentration, though I don’t spend much time at a desk or in front of a computer—perhaps someone working in front of a computer might have noticed more of an affect. It would be interesting to try for longer than 60 days, to see if the benefits become more noticeable over time. There are other products on the market offering the same result and for less money. (Finding a vegan one may prove tricky).

Effectiveness:

Not as effective as I was hoping, only mildly helped with fatigue. 3 stars

Packaging:

The writing on the bottle is easy to read and well displayed. Like many supplements, they are stored in a dark container for protection and a longer shelf-life.

Value for Money:

Expensive for what it offers.

I'm a fan of a glass of red wine, and spending time with the girls.
