We’re knee deep into awards season and on Wednesday night is was the turn of the 2016 edition of the Brit Awards. Unfortunately there were a lot more misses than hits and some of the female attendees tried to grab the attention by not leaving much to the imagination *cough cough* Little Mix’ Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Lily Donaldson and model Sadie Pinn. Check out our selecion of some of the best and worst looks from the night…
Doesn’t she look stunning?! High five to her glam team for this look. Adele isn’t often someone we pay much attention to on the red carpet but she surprised us with this great look. The addition of a corset under her dress dress shows off her weight-loss and allows he dress to drape over her curves in the right places.
I’m well aware that Glynne is a bit of a tomboy when it comes to fashion so I wasn’t expecting her to rock up in a bodycon dress with skyscraper heels. Iactually don’t mind the big hair but it could have done with some more curl definition and less frizz. It’s the suit I’m not feeling. I love the colour and print but my criticism would be the fit. In order for Glynne to pull this off properly the blazer should have been tailored and fitted at the waist with a slight peplum to flatter her figure. Also the fit of the trousers isn’t flattering on her either…
Clancey often looks great on the red carpet. However this isn’t one of those occasions. Had she ditched the sheer black tights and opted for some metallic super high court shoes we may have given her a pass for this outfit. If you’re that cold that you have to add tights to your red carpet outfit then change your outfit – it’s that simple. The dress looks cheap and flimsy and the black barely there sandals don’t help either.
I’ll be honest I’m not a big fan of Charlie XCX’s looks 80% of the time. But when she gets it right she looks amazing and this was the case on Wednesday night. She looked groomed, fresh and award show appropiate. The vintage gown was still edgy and her hair and makeup topped it off pefectly for me.
What was Cheryl thinking? You could easily be forgiven for thinking you had gone back in time because this dress looks like something that she would have rocked in the early days of Girls Aloud before they could afford a good stylist. Words fail me…
I love what Kylie was trying to do with this look. The hat adds a touch oof rock chic to her starpless prom dress. I think she should have ditched the green shoes and replaced them with some high-heeled peep toe ankle boots instead. Despite the footwear faux pas though I still give this look a thumbs up.
