  • Using epsom salts suspended in an oil is a terrific idea.
  • Massaging the oil into the skin before sleeping aids the relaxation process. It is not unusual to fall asleep during a massage.

  • When added to the bath it makes the surface very slippery and not very pleasant to clean. I will stick to massage only from now on.

This oil is full of ingredients that do a great job at relaxing the mind and body. Having another way to get the benefit of Epsom salts without having a bath is very welcome to me. The lavender is not overpowering.

They Say:

Dr Teal’s Pure Epsom Salt Body Oil is infused with Sesame Oil and Aloe Vera to nourish skin and seal in moisture. The luxe, lightweight formula delivers instant hydration and a shimmering finish to dry skin. Its multi-tasking properties mean that it can also be added to bath water for a true spa experience.

After your shower or bath, smooth a few drops onto damp skin to seal in moisture and condition skin. A little goes a long way. For a spa experience, add a few drops to your bath water and relax with the natural botanical oils.

We Say:

Dr Teal’s body oil is a great addition to your spa like evenings or every evening if you having trouble sleeping. The sesame oil, that is the carrier for the other ingredients, is rich in Zinc which is an important mineral for skin health. Sesame is said to improve skin and hair health. Help with bone growth, reduce blood pressure and improve digestion. This oil also helps with managing anxiety and depression. Finally it helps with inflammation and increases the elasticity and smoothness of the skin. Quick, get some!!

Dr Teal’s body oil is quickly absorbed and is light weight so it does not make you feel greasy. The oil gives a nice shine to the skin. Using body oil is not as popular as lotions as we all worry about grease getting on our clothes if we get dressed too soon.
You can add some to the bath and then follow up with a massage to the limbs or just do the massage.
Aloe vera is another ingredient in this oil. It nourishes the skin and is known for it’s ability to cope with sunburn, wounds and dehydrated skin. Aloe vera is also an anti irritant so you can feel relaxed with calm skin after using this oil.
And of course let’s not forget the epsom salts with all the benefits they bring. 60% of what you put on your skin is absorbed so its very similar to soaking in epsom salts.

This is similar to other oils on the market and I felt this one fell short for use in the bath. 3 stars

A nice sturdy plastic bottle and good flip top which is important if you are worried about spilling or cracking. Good big font so you can easily see the ingredients and check its suitability for your skin. 4 stars

Value for Money:

There are no special ingredients in here so it’s a bit pricey. 3.5 stars
