Amazing product that I’m sorry hasn’t been around for longer. Would have saved me a couple of trips to the parlor to renew my colours.
The Tattoo range has been formulated with beneficial natural ingredients – such as noni and pomegranate – to provide intensive colour protection, promote cell regeneration and healing as well as care for the skin.
In Polynesia, people have been using the juice and oil of the noni tree for medicinal purposes for centuries and in particular, to help the healing process of traditional tattoos.
Noni is known to be rich in essential fatty acids and to have anti-bacterial properties, making this a perfect and essential ingredient in the Tattoo Care range. It also contains pomegranate that provides a sweet scent, but also delivers anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits, which helps keep the ageing process at bay.
This quick absorbing Tattoo Body Lotion has been formulated for all skin types, Including sensitive skin. Not only does it hydrate the skin, but its natural SPF10 also protects against daily UV damage which can have a bleaching effect on tattoos.
- Noni extract has a healing effect and supports the skin regeneration process
- Pomegranate and shea butter hydrate and nourish the skin
- Panthenol helps to improve the skin’s elasticity
- Bisabolol soothes irritation and has an anti-inflammatory effect
Apply daily to the tattooed area. For new tattoos, apply Eco Cosmetics Tattoo Body Lotion after the tattoo is no longer reddened and there is no more scabbing.
I was curious as to the effectiveness of a product that boasts of maintaining tattoo colours vivid for longer. This particular range comprises of three products; a shower gel, an SPF 30 and the body lotion — which I’ve tried.
Don’t get me wrong, this won’t revive fading colours and bring them back to life, but if your tattoo is new or you’ve recently had it touched up, this will be a treat to help maintain that colour fresh for longer.
I always use SPF on mine to keep the colour from fading when it’s going to be exposed to sunshine, but it had never occurred to me to use something specific that would not only help maintain the colour but also the more sensitive skin that tattooed skin become. Realistically, tattooed skin is scar tissue, and as such, more delicate and sensitised.
This body lotion is rich and creamy in texture, with no additional fragrance, so as to not irritate the skin, so all you can smell are the natural ingredients in the product. If you don’t like the smell of Shea and cocoa butter, then you might not love the smell of this. But really, the scent is the last thin on my mind when I’m using this.
A little goes a long way. The rich, creamy texture massages wonderfully onto the skin, and even though it’s quickly absorbed, my skin’s nourished and moisturised after I’ve applied it. Truth is, I’m not using it only were I’m tattooed. I use it everywhere.
I can’t say I’ve seen my tattoo’s colours brought back to life, but that’s not the point of the product, but to maintain them and the tattooed skin. 4.5 stars
Love it, completely in line with what the product is about, and easy to use. 5 stars
