They Say:

This 3-step regime has everything hair needs for an instant boost, and improved fullness over time. Women with limp lengths, mature mums with finer hair, and new mum’s experiencing post-partum hair shedding, can all reap the rewards of Nanogen’s unique Hair Growth Factors and stimulating ingredients, harnessed within this covetable purple giftset. Contains Thickening Hair Treatment Shampoo (240ml), Thickening Hair Treatment Conditioner (240ml) and Root Boost Hair Thickening Spray (100ml).

We Say:

Thick, glossy hair is all the rage these days so this product is definitely aimed at the younger generation of today who crave long locks. Receiving this package was a treat as it’s so big you definitely feel you’re getting your money’s worth.

As someone who has thick hair already this product was always going to be tough to test out. The products all smell amazing and after use I noticed my hair was more volumous – but not thicker. I asked family and friends with thinner hair to try it out too, with similar results – it just added volume not thickness.

This is where the product is gaining such great reviews because after a few washes your hair has added bounce giving off the illusion of thickness but once you stop using you notice it looking limp and lacklustre.

For those who like volume and shine in this hair this product is great – but don’t be drawn in by the name and have too high expectations. That being said it smells great and comes in such a large size that it’s great value for money.

Packaging:

The gift set comes in a large box and feels luxurious. The products are in purple or white packaging and look very high-end.

Effectiveness:

Different outcomes on thick and thin hair. 3 stars

Value for Money:

As a shampoo – yes, but as a treatment – no.

Buy or Bye:

Bye.
