REVIEW: Scitec Nutrition 100% Plant Protein

Scitec Nutrition

Scitec Nutrition 100% Plant Protein

Price: 900g tub £21.99 (RRP)

  • The product contains nearly 90% protein
  • It’s dairy and gluten free
  • The chocolate praline flavour is delicious. It tastes like a milkshake
  • For the amount included, it’s great value for money

  • The shaker to mix the protein with is difficult to open
  • The sweetners used could be more natural

Since turning my diet to vegan, I was hesitant to try a protein powder because I knew that most of the main brands use milk. What completely surprised me is how healthy pea protein is to the body in general. I am slightly addicted to the taste and couldn’t imagine not drinking after my workouts. I feel less muscle tension after. Overall, I recommend.

They say:

Recently crowned European Brand of the Year 2017, Scitec Nutrition products are valued by elite athletes and popular with fitness enthusiasts because they combine quality performance with a great taste and overall experience.

Scitec Nutrition 100% Plant Protein is an ideal alternative protein source for anyone with a lactose intolerance or those on a vegetarian or vegan diet.  Made from Highly Pure Pisane® pea protein, this GMO-free protein source is incredibly versatile and has nearly 90% protein content.  It has a great all-natural amino profile, directly comparable from a performance perspective with Scitec’s top quality whey protein products.

Pea protein powder is becoming a firm favourite for gym-goers and health-conscious people alike.  It’s  also been proven to be beneficial for your kidneys and heart as well as muscle recovery and building lean muscle strength.

Mix 1 serving (30g) in 300ml water. Best time to use is after a workout.

We say:

I have tried a couple of protein powders before and have never tasted one as nice as Scitec Nutrition Plant Protein. The shaker included is a double-edge sword. Meaning, the lid stays tight and I don’t have to worry about leakage, however it’s quite tough to open.

I also find that there’s a hint of powder always stuck to the bottom. I wish the recommendation was more than 300ml because I could happily drink a large glass of this.

The sweeteners in my opinion could be better, nevertheless only a tiny amount is included and they are calorie free.

I didn’t notice much difference within the first few days of opening. Now on the other hand, I no longer feel lethargic and exhausted after training – specifically HIIT cardio.

Tasty, great for recovery and has been helping me improve my strength. 4.5 stars

Easy to open and the measuring cup inside was sat near the top. 5 stars

Value for money

For the amount you receive, the protein is really good value. 5 stars
