Sweet Potato Tortilla ChipsFood Should Taste Good Sweet Potato Tortilla Chips

Price: £2.19 (RRP)

Stockists: Tesco

Pros:

  • Gluten-free
  • Tastes great
  • Source of fibre
  • Suitable for vegetarians

Cons:

  • Slightly oily in texure
  • The package suggests it may contain milk which is off-putting for vegans, despite milk not being contained in the ingredients list

Overall:

These Sweet Potato Tortilla Chips are incredibly appetising and ideal for those with dietary requirements such as gluten intolerances. I would happily recommend and would purchase again.

They say:

Tortilla chips made from corn and sweet potato base. Gluten free, free from artificial flavourings, colourings, and preservatives. A craveable crisp with sweet and salty crunch, these Sweet Potato tortilla chips are delightfully crisp and baked with sophistication. Perfectly paired with your favourite guacamole or hummus dip.

Sweet Potato tortilla chips are cooked in healthier high oleic sunflower oil and are high in unsaturated fats. Replacing saturated fats with unsaturated fats in the diet contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels (MUFA and PUFA are unsaturated fats). Enjoy as part of a balanced diet and active lifestyle.

We say:

I was happy to be sent a product to sample for Veganuary that I am also familiar with from the States. Having a selective carbohydrate-sensitivity, I’m always on the look-out for healthier, savoury snacks that are gluten-free.

I really enjoy the taste of these crisps, they have a nice balance of being both salty and slightly sweet. I also like the fact that they are higher in healthier, unsaturated fats. Very addictive, so my best advice would be to stick to the portion advisement!

Effectiveness:

You couldn’t really ask for more. It is the ideal crisp scenario whereby it’s healthier and yet still delicious. 5 stars

Packaging:

The size is 150g which is more than enough to enjoy as a snack. The pack states that it contains 5 portions. 5 stars

Value for money:

Again, due to the size and the amount given with a purchase, I would say that the Sweet Potato Tortilla Crisps are perfect value for money. 5 stars

Buy or bye:

Buy.
