REVIEW: Topikk Hair Building Fibres

With the search for a full, glossy mane of head something we’re all looking for these days, it’s convenient to find products providing just that instantly.

Price: £6.95/3g or £12.95/12g

Stockists: Amazon, Boots

Pros:

  • Instantly works
  • Convenient packaging
  • Easy to use
  • Range of shades

Cons:

  • Not sweat proof
  • A quick fix but doesn’t solve hair loss issues

They say:

Made from Keratin – the same protein as your hair – the natural fibres blend undetectably with your existing locks, so can be used on thin or thinning hair, an uneven hairline, or boosting a buzz cut hairstyle. Thanks to its electrostatic charge, Toppik adheres to both your hair and scalp safely – and won’t budge until it’s washed out.

We say:

This product is a great concept and the fact that it caters to hairstyles from blonde, redheads and brunettes the brand has got the inclusiveness down to a t. It’s important to remember that this does not in anyway actually promote hair growth, instead it covers areas of baldness quickly. It can also be used in between hair colour appointments for a touch up. My concerns are that it washes out after each use and can get on your pillow at night if you don’t wash it off before bed.

Packaging:

Sleek black packaging makes it easy to identify the brand. Easy and handy spray and cover to use with the product to make sure the right amount comes out.

Effectiveness:

Depends on the finish you’re after. 4 stars

Value for Money:

Yes.
