The Revlon Salon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumiser is a two-in-one styling tool that combines the power of a dryer and volume of a styler to deliver effortlessly beautiful full-bodied, frizz-free volume and brilliant shine.
Revlon Salon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumiser’s unique oval brush design produces frizz-free volume at the roots and beautiful body throughout each strand of the hair. The shape features gently curved sides for smoothing hair with slight volume, while the round edges create gorgeous volume and curled ends in just one step.
Designed to distribute air quickly and evenly, Revlon® Salon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumiser dries and styles in up to half the time of a traditional blow dryer and curling iron combination. Faster drying and styling time reduces heat exposure to minimise hair damage. Infused with IONIC TECHNOLOGY™ and a ceramic coating, hair is left conditioned, smooth and shiny. Nylon pin bristles are topped with comfortable ball tips to softly detangle strands and combined with boar bristles to gently grip hair on the curved edge for improved body, ultimately creating long-lasting salon results at home.
I am a naturally curly girl and I often sport a head full of big bouncy curls which I love, because it is so versatile and you can manipulate it any which way you like it. Though sometimes, I like to switch up my style and have a sleeker look with my hair away from my face for a change, something I thought the new Revlon Salon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumiser could help me out with.
The Revlon Salon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumiser (that’s a mouthful) promises you the power of a dryer whilst giving you the volume of a styler all wrapped up in a ceramic coating to reduce heat damage and armed with a combination of bristles to aid in detangling.
The styler comes packed in a smooth black box with a large red Revlon logo emblazoned on the front and top, the dryer itself has an all black design with a pink streak running across either side which looks quite attractive. Even though it was larger than I expected it fitted quite comfortably in my hand and was not too heavy.
Onto the styling. I started blowdrying on freshly washed hair which had been towel dried and prepped with heat protection and a smoothing lotion. I sectioned my hair into managable pieces and got to work. I started at the base of my head and worked my way upwards. I found the dryer really easy to use as the bristles gripped my hair and glided smoothly over the strands with ease.
Whilst blow drying I found the on/off button awkward as it sits right at the base of the handle and is a little stiff so I had to release my hair and use two hands to turn it off as I moved between sections. Which menat I could not move as fluidly as I wanted. The dryer has 3 heat settings – cool, warm and hot. Although this is a guess, as the temperature is nowhere in sight – neither on the packaging nor the leaflet provided. I went with the ‘hot’ setting as my hair is about a 3C (an ‘s’ shaped curl) in texture it needs a higher temperature and a lot more tension to get the smoothest results.
All in all it took me half an hour to get through my hair with minimal tangling and fuss so the bristles did the trick which surprised me as my hair does tend to get quite knotty after washing. The hair dryer blow dried my hair well but the finished look would need polishing over with a pair of straightening irons for sure.
