Shoes You’ll Need to Have Next Season

Can you hear that? Exactly. Silence! Long gone is the clicking sound of the paparazzi’s cameras as style influencers and fashion bloggers trot along the streets of the fashion capitals dressed head to toe in designer. Ah yes, another season of Fashion Week is over and now we know what we will be lusting over next season. Looking to New York for inspiration, the American fashion houses went all for this season’s catwalk shows. From popcorn frenzy at Calvin Klein to modest exuberance at Michael Kors. While everyone was looking at the outfits we were looking somewhere lower —  their footwear. Taking a closer look at the SS19 footwear trends we can see a few similarities in style, and below we have categorised them into three key styles. And, because we love you we’ve given some affordable options to look into…

3 Footwear Trends for Next Season

Trend #1: Pointed Knee High Boots

For knee high boots next season think loud prints and thoughtful hues.  Experiment a little with the different colours and textures available. Brock Collection gave the floral print a much needed update whilst  Michael Kors attempted to make leopard seem cool again (it’s always been cool to us). It may finally be time to retire your over the knee boots for a while and show off your knees.

Trend #2: Vibrant Velvet

Velvet has come back with a vengeance in the past few years, and rest assured that we’ll be seeing next more for the next 18 months at least! Expect them to brighter and bolder.  And, there’s no need to wait for the sun to come out. Try it out daringly with a monochromatic outfit for a bright take on winter fashion.

Trend #3: Creatively Shaped Heels

Each fashion week we see designers aiming for the wow factor. This season we saw many thoughtful designs including these shoes with creatively shaped heels. With geometric shapes and lines at Prabal Gurung to fur lined soles at Alexander Wang, one thing is clear; the crazier the sole, the greater the impact.
