Throwback Thursday: Victoria Beckham in Leather

Throwback Thursday: Victoria Beckham in Leather

If there’s one look that we’re told to steer clear of is double leather. And matching your outfit to your partners? An even bigger faux pas.  With the fashion magazine’s now encouraging us to wear double denim we cast our minds back to the time before Vogue embraced David & Victoria Beckham.  No-one can forget the moment when the Beckhams wore these Versace leather outfits to a party hosted by the designer label in 1999.  At the time it may have seemed like a good idea. Co-ordinating was (and is) a great way to style your looks, and at the time it seemed as though the popular power couple could do no wrong with the biker look. They thought they looked pretty cool, and in their defence the biker look was very popular and worn by many at the time anyway.  Now, fast-forward to 2015, and with the benefit of hindsight we can now see that the outfits  were not a great move.  The outfits were the ultimate faux par in fashion history.  We look back and we think, “What were they thinking?”  However, if you dare to try out that outfit, then get Victoria’s look below…
