Outside of luxury fashion circles Vionnet is a name that many of you may not be familiar with just yet – however, chances are you’ll have see their designs on your favourite A-listers. The French haute coute label was founded in Rue di Rivoli in Paris by couturier Madeleine Vionnet in 1912. The label, then called The House of Vionnet closed in 1952 and was revived in 1988 by the Lummen family as an accessories and perfume brand. For SS07 they debuted a clothing collection and the brand, now called Vionnet, was sold to Matteo Marzotto in 2009. Under Marzotto the brand became a celebrity favourite and dressed a long list of celebrities including Cameron Diaz, Diane Kruger, Madonna, Natalie Portman and Carey Mulligan amongst others.
