New York based fashion designer Reem Acra, was born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, before moving to the USA, where she began her eponymous label. Her first bridal show in 1999 changed the bridal industry and created a market for luxury branded bridal wear. In 2003 she expanded her brand to include evening gowns and in 2008 she launched hr first ready-to-wear collection. Known for a femininity, modernity and intricate craftsmanship in her designs, Acra has designed gowns for royalty and you will have seen her creations on the pages of top fashion magazines such as Harper’s Bazaar and on the red carpet being worn by the likes of Angelina Jolie and Taylor Swift, to name a few.
