Transformation Tuesday: Lucy Mecklenburgh

Since her first appearance on the BAFTA award-winning reality TV show, The Only Way is Essex, Lucy Mecklenburgh has undergone quite a makeover (or make-under). Mecklenburgh has carved out a career  as a fitness and wellbeing guru and is certainly someone we look to when we think about pampering ourselves. Amongst her fitness website success, fashion collaborations and her own boutique, Lucy published a book in 2015 Be Body Beautiful: My Guide to a Healthy, Happy New You and we would recommend a read. Her style has changed (a lot) along with her mindset through the years. Join us as we take a look back at this pamper queens’ transformation…

Channelling Boho babe vibes in 2011, Lucy has gone for neon pink and oversized accessories here – her outfit was styled to stand out to reflect how she came across on TOWIE. I mean, nobody is blaming her for this Boho blunder… right?

The blonde hair makes an appearance in 2012 as Lucy opts for all black with a leather peplum – Sophisticated? Yes. Classic look? Yes. Her best look? Probably not. Slowly but surely, Luc.

Holidaying in 2013 with her boyfriend at the time, Lucy sports an alternative black bikini with her blonde locks tied up in a pony and Kim K shades. We’ll take the bod but we may choose a different swimwear look for our next vacay.

Visiting her boutique in late 2014, Lucy has absolutely nailed every component on the perfect winter ensemble. Knitwear. Faux fur. Knee highs. Statement bag. We wouldn’t change a thing *round of applause*

It’s early 2016 in this photo and we see her really come into her own style and we are big fans! The white dress and dark hair are beautifully contrasted and with that fringe framing her smokey eye – it’s classy and we love it.

2017 has been a good year for this one – she confirmed her romance with her new beau and looks like a walking love heart in this ensemble. She has come a long way since her fake tan and extension days and her style evolution has been well worth the wait.

Having been in love with both fashion and writing since I can remember, being able to write now, and for online readers, is quite literally a dream come true. I like to think that my writing reflects me as a person and shows some of my personality whilst still informing you about what’s on trend and what I’m loving each season. Fashion will constantly fuel me with ideas and inspiration for my writing so if you like what you read, you have the catwalk to thank.
