Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o has us in total awe and wonderment whenever in front of the camera. She burst onto the scene in 2013 playing the tragic role of Patsey, in Steve McQueen’s 12 Years a Slave and has since become quite the fashion superstar. In 2014 she was named People magazine’s ‘Most Beautiful…’ and she is cosmetic powerhouse Lancôme’s current ambassador. Her recent Vogue shoot and interview is to die for and this is why she is our Woman Crush Wednesday…
Least likely to…go hungry. Nyong’o loves cooking and always eats healthily. She says, “I’m pretty awesome at making salad dressings…”
Impress her with…bright colours. The actress has worn every shade and hue of the rainbow and with that gorgeous skintone, who could blame her? Her lucky stylists must be having a constant field day!
Mention…Kenya. Nyong’o is proud of her origin and though born in Mexico, never fails to pay hommage to her African roots. She once wrote and directed a documentary called In My Genes (2009) which discussed the treatment of Kenya’s albino population at length.
And another thing…she will grace the silver screen as Maz Kanata in Star Wars 7: Force Awakens, which releases in December! Ooh, we can’t wait!
